Including today, it's only 3 working days till Christmas.
I've been on nominal leave since last Thursday.
Nominal because First, I have 16.5 days of annual leave left to clear by the end of this year and starting from last Thursday there are only 11 working days left. Secondly, despite being on annual leave, I've been in the office almost everyday, at least for half the day. And Thirdly, I've got a cold so I could technically be on medical leave but since I'm still in the office on annual leave, what difference is medical leave going to make?
On days like this, one of my partners is fond of popping by my office and saying "There must be an easier way to make money."
He has to be right of course. But having received my year end bonus over the weekend, I can't imagine there are too many easier ways to make more money and I can certainly imagine lots of harder ways to make a lot less money. I guess I should be thankful, even though there are days like this.
Merry Christmas everyone. Happy holidays. And you know where you can reach me over these hols.
