Poo Bum Dickie or Daddy Don't Touch Me
I have said before that Wikipedia is a wonderful sorce of knowledge. Today, I just stumbled upon this entry about an interesting drinking game called Roman Numerals or Poo Bum Dickie.
The object is for the players to count out the letters of the Roman numeral one after another, the first 16 numbers of which are as follows:
I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI, XII, XIII, XIV, XV, XVI.
The player who enumerates wrongly has to drink & starts again from 1.
Of course, it's not much fun saying "I", "V" and "X" so those letters are replaced by the words "poo", "bum" and "dickie" respectively with the following result:
1st Player: Poo.
2nd Player: Poo, poo.
3rd Player: Poo, poo, poo.
4th Player: Poo, bum.
...
14th Player: Dickie, poo, bum.
You're highly unlikely to reach 39 ("IXL") before someone makes a mistake but if it does happen, you should "Poo, bum, ALCOHOL!" and everyone drinks and starts from 1 again.
Apparently, there is a variation where the letters are replaced with the following alternative words:
I - No
V - Daddy
X - Don't Touch Me
Which results in some of the following combinations:
13th Player: Don't Touch Me No No No
14th Player: Don't Touch Me No Daddy
15th Player: Don't Touch Me Daddy
16th Player: Don't Touch Me Daddy No
